Originally from just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lauren Dean first got her foot in the door of the hospitality industry at the age of 15. In 2013, Lauren graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Elementary Education, but her passion for the hospitality realm coupled with her enthusiasm for delivering exceptional guest experiences eventually drew her to the wedding and events industry. With over a decade of experience, Lauren ultimately found the best of both worlds as a Catering Director at Cru Catering.

Lauren’s management style is marked by her leadership skills and always striving to set a good example for those around her. She enjoys working alongside her team to guarantee the best possible guest experiences and lives by the simple philosophy of never asking someone to do something she wouldn’t do herself. According to Lauren, one of the most rewarding parts of her career is witnessing the couple right after they exchange their vows – “there isn’t any better energy to be around than that moment.”

In her free time, Lauren indulges in her love for travel, finds solace beside any body of water, and cherishes special moments with her husband and children.
