Do You Sgroppino?

August 28, 2013

Whether you’re planning a large affair or a small gathering a delicious and creative cocktail can make your event a hit! Leave your guests with something new to talk about such as our bar manager, Jacob Fuhr’s, latest favorite- a Sgroppino.

Sgroppino is a traditional Italian cocktail served often in the summer time at outdoor events. We recently served this light and crisp cocktail at one of our Cru Weddings as the signature cocktail for the ‘cocktail hour’. This crowd pleaser is easy to make at home, too!

 Ingredients
1 cup chilled Prosecco (Italian sparkling white wine)
2 tablespoons chilled vodka
1/3 cup frozen lemon sorbet
1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh mint leaves

Directions
Pour the Prosecco and vodka into 2 Champagne flutes, diving equally. Spoon a scoop of sorbet into each flute. Sprinkle with mint and serve immediately

Sgroppino Cheers!
