We are in a Pickle!

February 28, 2014

What do you do with extra vegetables? We say pickle them!

Pickling is the process of  preserving food by anaerobic fermentation in brine or vinegar. Pickling began over 4000 years ago and originated in India. This process can preserve perishable food items for months.

What does pickling have to do with the fabulous world of Catering? You’d be surprised. Our chefs have been pickling veggies left and right and coming up with some really yummy and really beautiful treats. We are loving pickled Vegetables for bar snacks, side dishes and garnish.  See below for some of the creative ideas our team has been working on.
