jwkpec-8918-X2If you live here in Charleston, South Carolina, then I am sure you have heard, in some capacity, about the wonderful Cru establishment. Whether it be through their restaurant or catering company, most have come in contact with their amazing mac n’ cheese or their welcoming staff. Today, I would like to introduce you all to one of Cru Catering’s fabulous catering directors, Reilly Mariotti. I have had the pleasure of working with her on numerous events and am always so impressed by her attention to detail and friendly demeanor. I can’t wait for you all to learn more about her and her CRAZY wedding experiences below. Enjoy!

WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR COMPANY AND WHAT DO YOU DO?

I work at Cru Catering as a Catering Director. I work closely with planners and clients on menu development and design to create their individual visions for their receptions and events. (She is seriously one of the best catering directors I have EVER worked with! Most of the time, I don’t know what I would do without her and her team. -Cayleigh)

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 7 YEARS?

I would love to still be a Catering Director, I look forward to seeing how things evolve in this industry because it’s always changing and there’s always something new. And helping the new 21 year old Directors build their careers. That would be pretty cool to be a part of.

WHAT IS THE LARGEST GUEST COUNT YOU HAVE WORKED WITH?

We’ve had multiple large events but the largest seated event I’ve worked was a 3,000 person family style dinner. That took a lot of coordination and attention to detail, not to mention impeccable timing so that each table was served at the exact same moment. I couldn’t have pulled it off without my amazing team, and we were all so proud of each other once it was over. It was great to be a part of. (If anyone could do it though, it was definitely you and the staff at Cru. You all rock!)
