Myrtle Beach native Chad Rhodes grew up in his family’s restaurant, so for him the food and beverage business is a way of life.
His first introduction to Charleston blossoming restaurant scene was in 1995 when he moved to Charleston and worked with Chef John Zucker at Sonoma Wine Bar. It was there that he honed his kitchen skills and developed a deeper knowledge of food and wine. As a banquet manager at McCrady’s, Rhodes delved into the world of planning and executing high-end events, and he brought that knowledge to Cru Catering in 2006, once again to work with Chef Zucker. He enjoys the fast pace and ever-changing nature of catering and events, and loves that no two days are ever the same. When he’s not at work he’s enjoying family life with his wife, Jessica, and their daughters Harper and Ada.
